The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Warriors Group
Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, evil spirits, and sinister influences increasing in influence within the urban setting.
Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 are included.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the first table of heroes who will separate from the main group to undertake their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table consists of Teor (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
With 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are rare.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might appear mismatched, but the events of the third episode make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Motivations for Departure
First, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the enemy group.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose death started the story’s plot—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, striking the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.
Casimir then cleared his liabilities and fled to a fortified location in the northern region, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each member has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants revenge.
- Kattigan knows the northern area and warns that it is a nasty place.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could assist the party access locations they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that control the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The healer defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the family.
This leaves them few options but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.
Future Episodes
Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Questers and Planners parties.
Fans can look forward to learning which players will be in which group in the season’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on October 24.
